Football season is upon us and as I look forward I can’t help but think of all of the yummy appetizers we share this time of year. I wanted to find some new game day appetizers to share with you to add to your rotation.
While I rarely watch football games myself I do love all of the new appetizers and finger foods that are shared this time of year. I love how passionate everyone gets when their team is doing well (or not) and how everyone brings a dish to share. Gameday is the perfect time to try out new recipes and find new favorites!
Even if you don’t love football, there is something about autumn and appetizers that just go well together. Maybe it’s the change in season as we tend to wind down and the weather cools. All I know is finger foods make the perfect addition to any Sunday afternoon.
The ten recipes I found are spins on classics as well as new recipes I have never seen before. They all look easy and delicious (which are the top criteria for me!).
10 Delicious Game Day Appetizers
This is a new recipe for me. It only calls for three ingredients and a slow cooker. It doesn’t get much easier than that!
I have heard of bacon wrapped jalapenos, but I have never seen bacon wrapped garlic. This is definitely a must try if you’re a garlic lover.
My family loves all things lasagna so this dip would be the perfect addition to a game day get together.
I love this classic recipe but it gets even better because it calls for freshly made meatballs! I know the frozen meatballs are easy and convenient but the fresh meatballs bring this recipe up a notch.
Simple and Delicious!
I am sure you have heard of taco dip before. I love this twist on a classic using black beans instead of taco meat and presenting it in little phyllo cups.
You can’t watch a football game without chicken wings! yum!
I know I shared the classic chicken wings with you already. However, if you are ready to switch it up and try something a bit different. Try the cauliflower version!
Another classic recipe with a twist.
Skip the stuffed jalapenos and try it as a dip instead!
